Depth : Sianok Canyon and Harau Valley

For this week photo challenge, share your take on “depth” — you can take it literally, like me, by showing something (a dense forest, your lawn after a blizzard) that suggests volume, a distance between surface and bottom. Or go with a more figurative approach: use a deep color palette, play with your image’s depth of field, or highlight a person, a place, or an object to which you feel deeply connected.I took photo above in the Sianok Canyon that located in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. I visited the site in July 2012.

Other photos from Sianok Canyon can be seen in the photo album titled @NgaraiSianok.

The second photo is Harau Valley. Its location is in the same province, West Sumatra. I visited the Valley Harau a few week after visiting the canyon Sianok.

Other photos of Harau Valley can be seen in the photo album titled @LembahHarau.

Please see the other photos that give the meaning of “depth” in dailiypost.
