Compared with other bloggers who became member of BEC and follow English Friday weekly challenge, I am late to join. I write a journal for EF#1 after theme for EF#2 held. Yes, after thinking for a while, I finally decided to follow the BEC’s activity, especially which published in the blog. I did not join in group WhatsApp.
I know English before I learned it in school. When I was a child, I join the mosque’s youth activities in my neighborhood. One of the activity is a recitation that done twice a week, Sunday night and Wednesday night. The teacher teaches three materials. Nahwu, Shorof, and English. Nahwu and Shorof discussed once a week, but English is discussed twice a week.
From the recitation I know the forms of sentences in English as the present tense, past tense and future tense. It is very useful when I started studying English at school. I can get good grades. Even at the end of the school test, I have achieved the highest score in English.
When I was studying English at school, there was a lack of opportunity for students to train the ability to write and speak in English. Generally, the material presented is only related to the structure of the grammar. There is no English teacher has ever asked me or my friends to speak or write the story in the English.
For me, BEC might be a training tool to learn to write in English. English Friday challenge also makes me to explore the idea of writings. Then I publish it on the blog as an update.
If I may make a suggestion, what if BEC choose one of the members writing to discuss whether the way of writing and the use of tenses is correct or not. If there are some errors, BEC’s mentor can give some advices for improvement. The idea comes when one of my flash fiction discussed by members of the Flash Fiction Monday as I have published in the previous journal entitled “Bahas Karya : The Last Journey“.

Thank you for the idea, Bang. We read the same idea too from the other member. Thank youuuuu! 🙂
Yes.. idem aja saya juga…
😀
banyak yang punya ide sama yah?
jadi malu 😀
Good idea bang… 🙂
terima kasih, bang
Udah dipikirin bang,, mentor sebenarnya bersedia untuk jd grammar nazi di blogpost, cm masih ragu krn takutnya yang dikomentari gak bersedia klo dikritik via komentar, klo menurut bang jampang gimana?
The very same reason I intended to write. Will it be okay for a participant to have his/here post being corrected publicly. What do you think Bang?
It’s nice to know that you have good grades for English.
i have good grade for English only in junior high school 😀
maybe all members can be asked who want to be volunteers like in MFF group that i join.
kalau di group FF itu, ditanyain kepada member, siapa yang bersedia untuk dibahas tulisannya. jadi sukarela gitu.
I agree with your idea mas. But somehow to do correction in our own commentary column will be very hard to be read. Especially for those blogs who have so maaannnnyyy comments (because I mostly skipped those endless comments :D)
But maybe it will be good to be discussed at the BEC’s blog. We ask for a volunteer as mas Jampang said for their post to be featured and corrected in BEC’s blog. Well maybe this can be an input for our beloved admins 😀
yup, i mean that way… teh discussion in BEC blog, not in member;s blog
I agree with your idea, Bang (sorry, after put some considerations, I decide to use ‘bang’ instead of ‘mas’, is it okay? 🙂 ). The discussion in blogpost will be easier to access than in WA group, since not everyone join the group. It’s just my opinion, to be honest :).
no problem, mbak 😀
and the discussion in blog post will be documented, so everyone can read again in another time
Hmm, that’s a good idea :))
thanks
saya bisa bicara bahasa inggris tapi buat nulis itu susah. ga bisa grammar nya.
saya juga nggak pandai, tapi ya ikutan aja 😀
Waooo…
Seems i am too late to know this english challange. Not have much time for bw… 😦
Well, i really wonder that in your chilhood there was an activity for english also? In your village? Cool, really.
I recognise english only when starting my junior high.
but you can join the club and follow the challenge everytime you can. I think 😀
tapi bukan yang resmi belajarnya, mbak. di pengajian anak-anak masjid
I’d love to join this club someday
sooner is better 😀
Keren ngajinya ada bahasa inggrisny
alhamdulillah pernah ngerasain yg kaya gitu
I agree with your suggestion, Bang 😀
thank you, mbak
Thank you for the suggestion Mas. We decided to do this. So members who didn’t join WA Learning group, can volunteer to be reviewed by mentors and we will post the review on our blog. Thank you Mas.
Buat dr awal.
saya coba nanti deh
Asikkk
eh nggak janji 😀
Hahaha.
